Mizuno’s squat, powerful, player’s driver combines the scope to optimize launch and spin with the ball speed enhancements of Mizuno’s CORTECH Chamber. Two convergent weight tracks allow the ST-G to be anything from a low spin bomber, fade or draw biased or simply a more stable compact driver.
The ST-G 440cc is very stable in the category of compact driver heads. The addition of Mizuno’s CORTECH Chamber greatly influenced our ability to create more consistent ball speeds across the face.

CORTECH CHAMBER – The missing piece: Encases a stainless steel weight with elastomeric TPU – taking stress from the clubface and creating an additional energy source. At the same time locating weight closer to the clubface to reduce spin rates. While contributing to a more solid, powerful sensation at impact.
Max Convergent Fast Track: Two weights can be pushed to more extreme positions for ultra-low spin to mid-low spin settings.
Compact 440cc Players Profile: An inviting modern pear shape that sits perfectly square in the neutral setting.
New Beta Rich Ti LFS: The ST-G boasts a new lighter, faster face material – measuring 9% higher in tensile strength (compared to SAT2041) for a complex multi-thickness face geometry. Tour testing demonstrated an average 1.5 mph ball speed improvement compared to SAT2041.
Expanded Carbon Toe Wrap: An extension of lightweight carbon into the toe section allows an even greater level of shot shape adjustability.
Tour Tested For Sound: A combination of Mizuno’s CORTECH Chamber and internal tuning ribs creates a more solid feel at impact – in the full range of weight settings.
Quick Switch Hosel: 4 degrees of adjustability to fine-tune address and trajectory.
We’ve had a significant surge in tour usage for Mizuno drivers over the last few years, and the addition of a more compact 440cc ultra-low spin option will only accelerate that trend.

Mizuno ST-G Titanium Fairway wood
LOW SPIN, COMPACT TOUR PERFORMANCE
Mizuno’s first ST-G fairway wood is a low spinning, all Titanium power fairway wood created as an option for our faster swinging tour staff and solid ball strikers chasing a more penetrating ball flight. Built upon the ball speed platform of Mizuno’s CORTECH Chamber.
“The low spin fairway wood is a model that we’ve quietly been working on for several years – the CORTECH Chamber made it a lot easier to achieve.”

Full body Ti Construction: Ti-811 body with high strength multi-thickness Titanium Face for outstanding ball speeds.
Ultra-low spin construction: Created through a combination of Mizuno’s CORTECH Chamber, an 80g stainless steel sole plate, 8g stainless steel front screw and lightweight waffle crown.
Modern Player’s Pear Shape: An inviting, compact, head that sits perfectly square at address.

There’s a significant number of our tour players, especially in the US chasing lower spin with their fairway woods. There are some very good options already out there, so we took our time and ensured we put our time in testing on tour.
