Foremost Golf has announced the winners of the prestigious Foremost Member Awards for 2024. The recipients of the three awards – Foremost Member Professional of the Year, Elite Marketing Programme (EMP) Member of the Year, and Breakthrough Member of the Year – reflect hardworking Foremost members that benefit greatly from the variety of Foremost systems and services.
Steve White at Thurlestone Golf Club is the deserved winner of the coveted Foremost Member Professional of the Year for 2024, after being recognised for his tenure and dedication in over 25 years with Foremost. Steve personifies the consummate professional and works closely with his wife as part of his thriving business at Thurlestone Golf Club.
“Being named Foremost Golf Professional Member of the year is an incredible honour”, said Steve White.

EMP Member of the Year was awarded to the dynamic duo of Trevor Newsham and Ryan Done at Heysham Golf Club in the Northwest of England, for their consistent attitude to growth and the ongoing success of their business.
“We’re very proud to be recognised for this award, after being nominated in 2023”, said Trevor Newsham, Head PGA Professional at Heysham Golf Club. “The Foremost EMP offers incredibly good value; it feels like I have two extra members of staff working with me! The fact that our business has more than doubled in 11 years with Foremost reflects our hard work on the ground, coupled with the assistance of Foremost and the services they offer, which get better each year.”
Jamie Carney, Head Professional at Robin Hood Golf Club in Solihull, was the recipient of the Breakthrough Member of the Year for 2024. With the help of his family who work in construction, Carney installed a new driving range and fitting studio that has transformed the environment at Robin Hood Golf Club.
“The Foremost team is constantly helping us and genuinely want the best for us. I have worked hard and leaned on Foremost to ensure my business is a success, to get the recognition from them for this award is a tremendous honour.”
In addition to the newest group of award recipients, 2024 was a year marked by the launch of Foremost’s revolutionary POS system, which has already amassed over 250 users. Foremost’s data-driven approach is embodied by the new system, with a rapid transfer time and seamless integration with other Foremost services, saving time for the professional. Foremost also celebrated its 40-year anniversary in 2024, and continues to refine and improve its systems and services.
