Headline speakers named for Harrogate Coaching Conference

The Golf Trade Show has announced two headline speakers for the Teaching and Coaching Conference. Delegates attending the show finale, staged at the Harrogate International Centre on 8 October, will be able to hear from PGA master professional and Golf Channel star, Martin Hall and co-founder of the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), Dr Greg Rose.

Martin Hall is a renowned teaching professional and has hosted the US Golf Channel’s popular instruction programme ‘School of Golf’ since 2011, while working with golfers at all levels of the game, from major winners and tour players, to juniors and club level players. A PGA professional since 1975, he is regularly named among the game’s top teachers and has been described by Jack Nicklaus as, “A great teacher with a wonderful reputation who has helped countless golfers of all ability levels become better players.”

Alongside Martin Hall, Dr Greg Rose, a doctor of chiropractic and co-founder of the TPI, the world’s leading educational organisation dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing, will also be hosting two sessions at the conference. Rose’s first session will look closely at the link between the golfer’s body and their golf swing, and provide insights into how professionals can coach around various physical limitations. In the second, he will share some of the latest research on unlocking more power in the golf swing and identifying ways in which this can be applied to golfers of all abilities.

David Colclough, PGA Head of Member Education, said, “Over the last five years, the Golf Trade Show has firmly established itself as the key event for PGA professionals. The aim this year was to ensure PGA professionals attending the event will leave with more ideas that they can implement into their own teaching and coaching practice, to help golfers hit it further, straighter and more consistently.” More at: www.golftradeshow.co.uk
