Golf Monthly adopts Foresight GC2 for testing

Golf Monthly magazine has adopted Foresight Sports technology to use in its equipment testing and coaching features. Golf Monthly’s use of the technology follows on from news that according to American magazine Golf Digest, leading coach Butch Harmon is installing Foresight Sports technology in all of his academies after stating, “there’s nothing that can compare with the GC2; it’s far and away the best we’ve ever used”.

The GC2 directly measures all essential ball data at launch using ultra-high-speed cameras and HMT independently directly measures all critical club data. Golf Monthly and Butch Harmon are just the latest big names to switch to Foresight Sports technology. Last year, the Golf Channel’s host of School of Golf, and the 2008 PGA National Teacher of the Year, Martin Hall, switched to Foresight for use in his coaching, analysis and personal practice.

The last three Foremost Golf ‘professionals of the year’ award winners have each credited Foresight Sports’ GC2 for revolutionising their business. GC2 technology also powers the Sky Sports Shot Centre on the broadcaster’s weekly tour coverage.

Golf Monthly editor, Michael Harris commented, “We’re delighted to be working with Foresight Sports Europe on our forthcoming cross-platform content. As the UK’s leading golf media brand, our audience rely on us being able to provide them with wholly accurate information and this technology provides it, with an astounding amount of data, analysis and insight. I’m sure our audience will be as pleased as we are once they start seeing the results.”

Ed Doling, sales director for Foresight Sports Europe, the exclusive distributor for the UK and EMEA, said, “Michael and the team from Golf Monthly visited our head office recently where we were able to demonstrate how perfectly and simply the GC2 works both indoors and outside. It’s further testament to the accuracy, flexibility and portability of the technology that, in addition to the majority of manufacturers, dozens of Tour players and top coaches, magazines are now using GC2.” More at www.foresightsports.eu
