Changes at the top for Gainsborough GC

Two senior management appointments have been made at Gainsborough Golf Club. Martin Robinson is the new general manager and Greg Skinner takes over as course manager. Robinson has 14 years of experience working in golf club management at Marsden Park, Kirkby Lonsdale and Caversham Heath. He is a qualified PGA coach and plays off a handicap of two. Skinner previously spent eleven years working in a variety of greenkeeping roles at Lingdale, The Belfry and Forest Hill. Like Robinson is a keen golfer and currently holds an eleven handicap.

The 36-hole facility is owned and operated by leading club manufacturer Ping and is home of the prestigious annual Ping Women’s Four Ball Better Ball tournament run in conjunction with England Golf.

Commenting John Clark, managing director of Ping Europe said, “We are delighted to announce the appointment of two such experienced industry experts and feel sure that both Martin and Greg will play a significant role in the future development of Gainsborough Golf Club.”
